209 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine FINANCE AND INSURANCE Supported by nearly 30 years of expertise in business management, Michael John Durovic has excelled as the executive vice president of Pharos Claims Service since 2013. While serving in this prestigious role, he also served Lighthouse Property Insurance Corporation and Prepared Insurance Company as a director of claims from 2013 to 2019 and from 2017 to 2019, respectively. Earlier in his career, Mr. Durovic spent 2010 to 2013 as a claim analyst for American Integrity Insurance Company, as well as 2003 to 2010 as a unit supervisor at Cunningham Lindsey. Likewise, he was a claim specialist at State Farm Insurance from 1997 to 2002 and a multiline adjustor at Arbitrage Adjusting Services, Inc., from 1996 to 1997. He commenced his career in 1994 as a multiline adjustor at Fort Orange Claims Unlimited Services, where he remained for two years. To prepare for his career, Mr. Durovic pursued a formal education at Clarkson University, from which he obtained a BS in engineering and management in 1992. After spending several years in his field, he returned to higher education at Florida State University, earning an MSM in risk management and insurance in 2015. Most recently, he received a BAS in business and organizational leadership at Valencia College in 2020. Over the course of his career, Mr. Durovic has been recognized as a flow certified professional and holds certifications from Coursera Course Certificates in high-performance collaboration, leadership through social influence, managing employee compensation and performance and managing human resources. He is also certified in recruiting, hiring and onboarding employees and is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter. Notably, Mr. Durovic has authored several publications, including “Homeowners: Here’s What to Expect from a Water Mitigation Contractor” and “Understanding the Claims Process: What to Do When Your Home is Damaged” in 2019, as well as “Education and the Looming Talent Gap” in 2016. For his expertise, Mr. Durovic received the Commendable Service Award and numerous scholarships. Among his many achievements, he is especially proud of obtaining higher education to advance his career.
