Weston, WI PRESIDENT Wheelingthrough.com Worcester, MA MING TAO JIANG, PHD A well-regarded community advocate, Dr. Ming Tao Jiang has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer of Marathon Ginseng International, Inc., since 2010. Since the founding of his nonprofit organization, he earned Top Ten Community Achievement Awards from the Chinese News Digest in Chicago in 2018 and 2019, as well as named among 40 Influencers of 40 Years of U.S.-China Trade by the SinoUS Times in 2018. Earlier in his career, Dr. Jiang thrived as a research scientist at Toronto General Hospital from 1993 to 1996, an assistant scientist at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health from 1997 to 2000, and an assistant professor at the Medical College of Wisconsin from 2000 to 2007. Drawing upon an MD and an MS in pediatric cardiology from Shandong Medical University, Dr. Jiang subsequently attended the University of Western Ontario, from which he earned a PhD in physiology in 1995. Outside of his primary work, he sits on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Hmong American Center, as well as served as a founding member and managing editor of the Milwaukee Chinese Times. Joseph E. Prochilo has been using a wheelchair since 1971. After becoming accustomed to wheelchair use and educating himself on disabilities, he began conducting workshops and giving lectures on disability etiquette at medical schools. Passionate about disability rights and raising awareness of wheelchairs and other mobility aids, Mr. Prochilo founded Wheelingthrough.com in 2017, where he has served as president. He has also excelled as the chairman of the Accessibility Advisory Commission. Through his work, he has improved disability accessibility in Worcester, Massachusetts. Mr. Prochilo holds a BS in political science and history from Salem State University and an MBA from the School of Management at Clark University. He holds an executive certificate in home modifications, ADA professional training certificate, ADA coordinator training certificate, advanced Title I employment training certificate, advanced Title III business training certificate and advanced health care certificate.
