First receiving a BS in English education, cum laude, from Victory University in 2009, he went on to earn an MEd from Union University in 2011. Ten years later, after completing the Educational Leadership Program at the University of Tennessee at Martin in 2013, he received a EdD from Walden University. Following the receipt of his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Sager served as the director of youth ministry at Golden Gate Cathedral, a Full Gospel Baptist church in Memphis, from 2010 to 2013. During this time, he also served as an adjunct instructor at Arkansas State University Mid-South from 2012 to 2014, as well as an English instructor, professional learning community coach and instructional literacy coach at Shelby County Schools between 2010 and 2016. Thereafter, he was appointed the dean of instruction of the Power Center Academy Middle School in 2016, having also been promoted to the Ninth Grade Academy principal in 2020. Since 2021, Dr. Sager has excelled as the middle school principal in the RePublic Charter Schools network of Nashville, Tennessee. Alongside his primary educational endeavors, he was the founder of Sager’s Exquisite Travel and Excursions, a travel agency, since 2015. In this role, he books cruises, vacations, hotels, all-inclusive resorts, tours, airline tickets and car rentals for clients. A certified English teacher and licensed professional administrator in Tennessee, Dr. Sager cites the highlight of his career to have been serving as the very first member of his family to graduate from college. Looking toward the future, he intends to continue thriving in his present role, and create an organization where families may be supported with wellness and self-awareness programs. He also earned the 2022 Changemaker Award from the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools. Always holding a passion for childcare and a natural love for children, Dr. Jeremy Sager became involved in the field of academia in light of his discovery that he could help children most by educating them.
