In 2009, he founded the Valentine Medical Clinic in Riverside, California, where he and his colleagues provide high quality, affordable health care to patients of all ages, from newborns to adults. A premier practice in the state, the clinic specializes in general health services, family planning, pediatrics and women’s health. As the medical director of the clinic, Dr. Otuechere also oversees the full staff. To wit, he is deeply dedicated to assisting younger generations looking to excel in the medical practice, and he offers training and externships to new physicians, nurses and students that provide a solid foundation to their training. Furthermore, Dr. Otuechere always applies the maximum amount of effort in everything he does, especially when it pertains to the health of his patients and clients. Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Otuechere’s performance in the field was born of his academic journey, which began with his time at the University of Benin. There, he earned an MD in 1982 from the Faculty of Medicine. Having already managed a private practice in Nigeria for a decade, Dr. Otuechere immigrated to the United States in 1985. Shortly thereafter, he completed residencies at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton, California. Dr. Otuechere subsequently earned a Master of Public Health from the University of California Los Angeles. Well regarded within the medical community, Dr. Otuechere maintains membership with several industry-related organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Advisory Board for Training Nurse Practitioners at Loma Linda University. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, he was also recognized with the Outstanding Award by the Riverside Medical Association. Outside of his primary vocation, Dr. Otuechere loves playing soccer and is an avid writer, having penned numerous articles and letters published in several professional journals.
