Following her receipt of a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Notre Dame College in 1999, she entered the real estate industry as an administrator and building administrator for the Venetia Bay Executive Centre, where she remained until 2005. From there, Ms. Slade became licensed as a realtor, a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and an At Home with Diversity (AHWD) Specialist via the Sarasota Association of Realtors. Following her licensure, she exemplified her expertise in the field as a Florida state governor, Florida District XII vice president and local chapter president of the Women’s Council of Realtors between 2001 and 2009. Since 2011, Ms. Slade has continued to excel as a realtor as the owner of the Sarasota Real Estate Group, having also been a realtor with SarasotaOne.com since 2008. Over the course of her career, she also earned a Transnational Referral Certification (TRC), a Performance Management Network (PMN) Certification, and a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resources (SFR) Certification. Likewise, Ms. Slade is a member of her local Chamber of Commerce, as well as a member of the Sarasota Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. As a testament to her resounding success in her field, Ms. Slade was named Mentor of the Year by the Florida State Women’s Council of Realtors. In accounting for her success, she credits her skills as a people person, as well as being a staunch advocate for helping individuals find their dream homes. Among her many career achievements, she is especially proud of her membership with the Women’s Council of Realtors, having held many executive-level and leadership roles with the organization. Looking toward the future, Ms. Slade intends to ease into a well-deserved retirement. Even in her post-retirement years, she would also like to continue mentoring others within the field of real estate and serve as a consultant in her industry.
