LILYANA AUSTER Having accumulated over 15 years of experience in academia, Dr. Lilyana Auster is a highly dedicated professional and an enthusiastic educational leader. As the learning recovery director for the Ames Community School District, she specializes in developing and implementing unique learning programs for students facing difficulties with mathematics and literacy. Since 2006, she has operated with a variety of schools and districts, including Watertown High School, Windham Middle School, and the Public Schools in the cities of New Haven, Hartford and Stamford. Prior to beginning her vocational journey, Dr. Auster pursued her own formal education, achieving several degrees over the course of her collegiate studies. To wit, she earned a doctorate in administrative leadership from Concordia University, and she holds several industryrelated certifications in the states of Iowa and Connecticut. Over the course of her career, Dr. Auster has always searched for methods to make mathematics more accessible, especially for urban students. Accounting for her many accomplishments, she attributes much of her success to multitasking abilities, resilience and dedication. In the coming years, Dr. Auster intends to become a district superintendent. Dr. Walter Aaron Clark is a Distinguished Professor of Musicology at the University of California (UC) Riverside. For three decades, he has taught a full range of undergraduate and graduate classes, served on university committees, organized conferences, and conducted research throughout Europe and the Americas. He is the founder and director of the Center for Iberian and Latin American Music at UC Riverside and editor-in-chief of its refereed online journal, “Diagonal: An Ibero-American Music Review.” Prior to arriving at UC Riverside in 2003, he taught at Scripps College, Pomona College, Cal State Long Beach, UC Los Angeles and the University of Kansas. Dr. Clark authored three Oxford biographies, “Isaac Albéniz: Portrait of a Romantic,” “Enrique Granados: Poet of the Piano” and, with William Krause, “Federico Moreno Torroba: A Musical Life in Three Acts.” Moreover, hepublished “LosRomeros: Royal Familyof the SpanishGuitar” (University of Illinois Press) and contributed volumes on Albéniz and Joaquín Rodrigo to Routledge’s Research and Information Guide series. In 2016, King Felipe VI of Spain awarded him the title of Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica, a Spanish knighthood, in recognition of his contributions to the study and promotion of Spanishmusic and culture.
