McEwen has excelled as the owner and project manager of Alpha Remediation, Inc., since 2014. Among the many highlights of his career in the field, he is especially gratified by the relationships he has cultivated with all his clients. He emphasizes that he places great importance on building long-lasting relationships, instilling in them a sense of trust in his work and the confidence they provide him to fulfill each project on which he works. To note, Mr. McEwen follows the contractual obligations by both state and federal regulations, to which he strictly adheres to ensure zero issues in the project timeline. Earlier in his career, Mr. McEwen completed college coursework and served Stan Environmental Services as a project manager between 2011 and 2014. He also served in the United States Navy, where he fought during Operation Desert Storm. Following his military service, he worked for 20th Century Insurance Company in California and relocated to Texas and, subsequently, Oklahoma. During this time, Mr. McEwen worked for Wilcom doing fiber optics work, as well as Interstate Batteries, where he worked with industrial batteries. He first entered the environmental industry in 2005, where he oversaw the air monitoring of asbestos that was removed by contractors. Mr. McEwen credits much of his success to the support and encouragement of his wife, Lourdes, who is a supervisor in his company. He also attributes his success to the life lessons he has learned over the years, and he notes that it is significant to never take shortcuts and focus on details of the work. He has always upheld a sense of pride in his work, which motivates him to continually progress forward. Furthermore, Mr. McEwen is especially proud of his seven children: Julio, Edith, Thomas, Valeria, Rafael, Paiton and Preston. Looking forward, Mr. McEwen intends to get a master service agreement with the hotel industry, through which he will be given opportunities to embark on projects to resolve environmental catastrophes on a state and national level.
