While there, he was the director of production operations between 2005 and 2014 while concurrently serving as the media manager for the NCAA Tournament in 2012. Since 2014, Mr. Finerty has excelled as the manager of video production for the football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Finerty is especially proud of his tenure with the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he notably served as their director of production operations when the team won the Stanley Cup in 2009. Following the team’s receipt of the prestigious award, he was assigned to work on the opening ceremony for the team’s subsequent season. Following the direction of his producer, he and his team worked on a 100foot, four-sided rectangular prism projection for the opening ceremony, which is still being applauded to the present day. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Mr. Finerty has received several accolades. In 2011, he won a Telly Award for his work, as well as two Mid-Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2014 and 2019. In accounting for his success, Mr. Finerty credits his diligent work ethic, having put in long hours to reach the prominent position he is recognized in today. Looking toward the future, Mr. Finerty intends to experience the continued growth and success of his career. He would ultimately like to take on a higher position to have full control over a department. Married to his wife Jennifer, Mr. Finerty is the proud father of two children, Adalyn and Owen. S ubsequent to graduating from Robert Morris University with a Bachelor of Arts in communications in 2000, Stephen Joseph Finerty was introduced to the field of video production by an acquaintance, who worked for the station KDKA-TV.
