61 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT A former laboratory specialist, Collen Plummer became interested in chemical interactions at a young age. Beginning in 1974, he served as a laboratory technician and extruder specialist for Johnson & Johnson, through which he developed two life-saving devices in the 1980s. Departing from Johnson & Johnson after 12 years of faithful service, Mr. Plummer went on to serve Campbell Soup as a technical laboratory assistant beginning in 1991, as well as Sears Holdings Corporation in 2007, serving the latter as an outside sales representative and project manager. Mr. Plummer excelled in his dual roles until 2011 when he joined Culligan International Company as a sales and project manager. Additionally, he has been a sales and project manager for The Home Depot since 2014. Recently, Mr. Plummer has established himself as a published author, having penned the book “No, My Brother, I AmMy Brother” in 2021, which has been edited to remove coarse language and make it more suitable for a general audience. Working on his book since the early 1980s when he first developed his life-saving devices, he focused his writings on his two U.S. patents, as well as the history of African American individuals. His primary inspiration to publish his book came after the death of George Floyd in 2020. From that point forward, Mr. Plummer sought to raise awareness of the struggles the Black community has faced over the decades. Drawing upon a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Temple University, Mr. Plummer attributes much of his success to the support and encouragement of his parents, immigrants from Jamaica who met in New York City. He notes that the most rewarding aspect of his career has been being recognized for all of his accomplishments, as well as the attention drawn from his book. Looking toward the future, Mr. Plummer intends to take care of his family while continuing to write about his professional and personal experiences. He is a firm believer in the virtue of patience.
