Dr. Kasulis is gratified by the opportunities presented to assimilate individuals from various fields to accomplish common goals. One of the proudest moments of his career was his tenure as chairman of the board of trustees and chairman of the research and test development committee for the Graduate Management Admission Council, where he helped re-design the Graduate Management Admission Test, including the introduction of the first writing sample section. Dr. Kasulis also served on a joint task force of the Association of Doctoral Directors of Programs in Business/Graduate Management Admission Council, the Advisory Committee of the AACSB/ GMAC National Doctoral Fellowship Program and the AACSB/GMAC National Advisory Panel on Graduate Management Education Innovation. Inspired to enter the field of marketing in light of the influence of his father, Dr. Jack J. Kasulis attended the University of Connecticut, graduating with a BS and an MBA in marketing in 1967 and 1972, respectively. Subsequently, he received a PhD in marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1976. Dr. Kasulis joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma (OU) in 1975, where he was eventually awarded the Ruby K. Powell professor of marketing and supply chain management until attaining emeritus status in 2020. Over the decades at OU, Dr. Kasulis was appointed to several faculty roles, such as coordinator of the Advanced Program in Business, which included course offerings in Saudi Arabia, Panama Canal Zone, Norway, Japan, as well as several U.S. locations; acting director of the Price College PhD Program; director of the Division of Management; and director of the Executive Program. He served as director of the CBA Certificate Program in Management, director of the MBA Program, associate dean of Price College, twice on the university’s NCAA Certification Steering Committee and chair of JACK J.
