125 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION Administration at Quinnipiac College, he was recruited to serve as the dean of Niagara University’s College of Business Administration in 1994. He accomplished much in this role, including helping the university achieve a business school accreditation that, at the time, was a feat relatively few business schools could attain. He now holds the title of trustee emeritus for Niagara University. A trusted voice, Dr. Miller was hired as president of Lock Haven University in 2004. These challenges allowed him to further develop his skills in leadership, team development and strategic planning. Now president emeritus of Lock Haven University, he later accepted a position as president of Virginia State University in 2010, where he is currently a professor. Additionally, he provides services as a consultant for universities through the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. Aside from conducting speeches and writing publications, Dr. Miller has contributed extensive time towards charitable and civic pursuits. He has served as a member of the United Nations Commission for Peace and Conflict and the International Association of University Presidents. He became president of the Virginia Council of University Presidents; was lauded with the Virginia Governor’s Innovation Award, the Crisis Communication Award from the Council for Advancement and Supportive Education, and the Community Impact Award from the American Heart Association; was inducted into the Virginia State University Athletics Wall of Fame; and received an honorary doctorate from Niagara University. Further, he was named Entrepreneur of the Year, and his staff received nine Emmy Awards. Dr. Miller is married to Nicolette Miller, a licensed international customs broker. Looking forward, Dr. Miller will continue to teach, train and mentor leaders worldwide. Dr. Keith T. Miller has accrued over 30 years of inimitable experience working for public and private universities, as well as a Fortune 500 company.
