142 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Diane Davis-Deckard joined Bloomington School District in Indiana in 1980, where she served several schools until retiring in 2018. Most recently excelling as a visual arts teacher at Bloomington High School North between 1992 and 2018, she previously served as an art teacher at Broadview Elementary School, Grandview Elementary School, Batchelor Middle School, Clear Creek Elementary School, and Spencer Elementary and Gosport Elementary Schools, among others. During her tenure, Ms. Davis-Deckard painted murals, newspaper boxes, musical sets and waste can covers at a variety of community buildings, including the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, Herald Times and Bloomington Hospital, just to name a few. Drawing upon a BA in fine arts and an MS in art education from Indiana University, Ms. Davis-Deckard has remained with Bloomington High School North as a fundraising coordinator for the visual arts department. A member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, she was honored as a Woman of Outstanding Leadership from the executive committee of the International Women’s Leadership Association in 2017 and received the Star of Excellence from the Monroe County Community School Corporation in 2015. VISUAL ARTS TEACHER (RETIRED) Bloomington High School North Fort Collins, CO DIANE DAVIS-DECKARD EDUCATION Drawing upon nearly two decades of experience in education, Dr. Lois A. Milholland Davies most recently served as the superintendent of the Pateros School District from 2008 until her retirement in 2018. Earlier in her career, she served the North Central Educational Service District in Wenatchee, Washington, as a coordinator of academy events from 1998 to 2004, coordinator of gifted education from 1999 to 2004, director of adult consumer education telecommunications from 2001 to 2002, and school improvement specialist from 2002 to 2004. Likewise, Dr. Davies was a school improvement facilitator for the Sadrington Office of the Superintendent for Public Instruction from 2003 to 2015. Postretirement, she has been the elected president of the North Central Education Foundation since 2021. Dr. Davies has held an EdD in administration from Washington State University since 2011 and an MEd in curriculum from Lesley College since 1998. Notably, she was an editor of “Gift Rap” from 1996 to 2004 and was an exchange teacher in Zibo, China, through the Orondo School District for two months in 1995.
