162 ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING service. Some of these commendations included three NASA Exceptional Service Medals, the NASA Outstanding Manager Medal, the Silver Snoopy Medal and the Rotary National Award for Space Achievement Steller Award. Throughout his time with NASA, Mr. Clubb was successful in being able to enjoy one’s work while achieving one’s goals. In light of his many accomplishments, he is especially proud of two achievements: his management of team operations on the Hubble Space Telescope, in which he and his team developed a unique coding system that ensured error-free data delivery, and the design of the International Space Station Avionics system. To his credit, this technology and these systems are still in use today and provide flawless performance. Mr. Clubb is presently retired but still provides periodic consulting services to NASA and NASA contractors. He is excited about the NASA program to again land explorers on the Moon. Jerry J. Clubb built an impressive career as a designer and integrator of space hardware and software at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), a position that he held for nearly 50 years. As a recognized expert in the field, he specialized in avionics technologies, which are electronics systems used in aircrafts, spacecrafts and satellites. More specifically, he designed flight hardware and software used for launch vehicles and satellites and was the avionics architect and international partner and avionics integrator for the International Space Station. Having retired from this acclaimed organization, Mr. Clubb believes the cornerstone of his success at NASA was his good fortune to be involved in the “frontier era” of space activities and his dedication to achieving successful missions. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Clubb pursued a formal education, attending the Missouri University of Science and Technology (formerly known as the Missouri School of Mines) and earning a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering. Over the course of his career, he was recognized with numerous awards for his achievements and dedicated JERRY J.
