57 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARTS, MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT and earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in art education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Subsequently, Mr. Hermansader gained valuable expertise in the arts and education in various teaching positions with the Lancaster County Art Association between 1978 and 1980, as well as an art teacher at Columbia Junior-Senior High School from 1973 to 1989. Backed by his expertise, Mr. Hermansader currently excels as a painter via Hermansader’s Victorian Mansion & Art Gallery in Columbia, Pennsylvania. Throughout his six decades of painting, renowned works to his credit include “Emblem of Strength - New York City,” which he presented to New York City's Mayor Rudy Giuliani. With the sale of the print, Mr. Hermansader raised over $20,000, which he donated to the Salvation Army of Lancaster. His original watercolor painting of the Haldeman Mansion was commissioned by the Haldeman Mansion Preservation Society (HMPS) as a fundraiser. Mr. Hermansader gifted $56,000 in proceeds from the sale of his limited edition prints of the Haldeman Mansion to the HMPS. Finding great success in his artistic career, Mr. Hermansader earned the Smedley Award for Education and Advocation of the Area’s Historic Sites from the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County in 2019. He was also granted the Rothermel Award fromKutztown University of Pennsylvania, Lancaster Newspaper’s Red Rose Award and Columbia’s Outstanding Citizenship Award. Simply put, Mr. Hermansader attributes his success to being personable and hardworking. Upon reflection, Mr. Hermansader considers the most rewarding aspect of his career is sharing his knowledge of art, particularly with children. To remain abreast of his field and activities, he maintains professional memberships with the Lancaster County Art Association, Sertoma Club of Lancaster and Salmagundi Club in New York City. After watching his father flourish as an artist, Tom F. Hermansader became inspired to spearhead his own career in the arts, leading him to specialize today as an artistic historian of the old and new in Pennsylvania and beyond, and art restoration. After graduating from Louis E. Dieruff High School, he completed coursework at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts TOM F.
