Shortly thereafter, he joined the government sector of the City of McAlester, Oklahoma, through which he served for nearly 20 years prior to his retirement from government service in 2016. In the latter stages of his career in the field, he was a master patrol officer and detective. He also excelled as a hostage negotiator for the SWAT team and was president of the Fraternal Order of Police for the McAlester Police Department. Subsequent to retiring from law enforcement, Mr. Rogers joined the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of McAlester in 2017, through which he has served as the chief executive officer and vice president. In his prominent positions, he maintains responsibility for a variety of marketing and advertising initiatives, as well as oversees a team of 65 employees and handles customer service relations. Notably, the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of McAlester was established by Mr. Rogers’ great-grandfather in 1943. Presently, Mr. Rogers works alongside his sons. Impressively, under Mr. Rogers’ direction, the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of McAlester has grown exponentially within the past five years and was twice named as the #1 bottler in the country, which garnered attention from local newspapers and television networks. Most recently, Mr. Rogers was honored as Bottler of the Year by Beverage Industry Magazine in 2022. Civically involved, Mr. Rogers is a board member of Keep McAlester Beautiful, a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring the cleanliness of the city, and sponsors Hudson Strong, a local charity that raises funds for treating pediatric cancer. He was recognized as a Keep Oklahoma Beautiful Affiliate Champion in 2021 and earned the Community Partner Award in 2019 and 2020. Supported by over 20 years of service in the field of law enforcement, Charles D. Rogers first sought to enter the industry due in part by the influence of his grandfather, a law enforcement officer. After earning an associate degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College, Mr. Rogers served as CHARLES D.
