110 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION An alumnus of Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, Dr. Lowell E. Davis Jr. earned a Bachelor of Arts prior to commencing his career in academia. Starting his tenure in the Milwaukee Public School System in 1969, he subsequently went on to attend Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, from which he received a Master of Arts in religion studies. Shortly thereafter, he matriculated in the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, where he graduated with three master’s degree, an EdS degree and a PhD, all by 1985. He also holds a DDiv from the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, Arizona. Following his longstanding tenure in the Milwaukee Public School System, Dr. Davis joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, for which he served as an administrator for over 10 years until his retirement in 2011. During his tenure, he received a myriad of honorary degrees for his excellence in ministry services and education. Outside of his primary academic endeavors, Dr. Davis has served as a pastor and a personal coach for several decades. To remain abreast of developments wit in his areas of interest, Dr. Davis has maintained affiliation with several religious organizations, as well as social societies and fraternal societies. He notes that the most rewarding aspects of his profession have been being afforded opportunities to travel and taking part in organizations that service not only the nation, but throughout the Caribbean Islands. Dr. Davis states that his experiences in traveling overseas have made him grateful to see all of God’s wonders. Prior to commencing his career, Dr. Davis was inspired to enter the industry in light of his desire to help others. Although he initially sought to help incarcerated prisoners, he eventually transitioned to the academic sector and worked directly with students through teaching and mentorship. Looking toward the future, Dr. Davis intends to publish a book that he is presently writing, as well as continue pastoring and teaching in his spare time. LOWELL E.
