First serving as an assistant to a pharmacist, she subsequently departed from that role and became an insurance agent. Demonstrating versatility within her career path, Ms. Gonzalez thrived in the insurance industry as she desired to help others. Through her work in insurance over the course of several years, Ms. Gonzalez understood that the majority of her clients did not have ample knowledge on retirement savings, nor did they know how to properly prepare for their postworking years on a financial scale. Since coming to that discovery, Ms. Gonzalez made it her mission to help individuals save up for and prepare for retirement, as well as enjoy their retirement years without the burden of worrying about financial difficulties. For over 15 years, she has served as the owner of the Tampa Bay Community Center, located in Tampa, Florida. Attributing much of her success to her positive attitude and willingness to move forward, Ms. Gonzalez has encountered many obstacles during her vocational journey. However, she has always found methods by which to surmount those barriers and continue thriving in her career. Among the many highlights of her career, she is especially proud to have had opportunities to successfully prepare for clients for retirement, as she desired to make her clients happy instead of generating sales. Looking toward the future, Ms. Gonzalez intends to continue her present work until her own retirement. She is in the midst of training a woman to step into her role and pass down her legacy. She notes that she is immensely proud of the women with whom she works, many of which would like to enter the health care industry. F ollowing her graduation from high school, Mabel Gonzalez commenced her career within the field of customer service in a children’s apparel shop.
