FINLINSON Since 2020, Maria J. Finlinson has excelled as the director of finance and business operations at The Leonardo, a science and art museum that intertwines the disciplines of science, technology and art and is located in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah. In her prestigious role, Ms. Finlinson is responsible for overseeing all financial operations and hospitality functions, as well as the acquisition of grants for the nonprofit. Earlier in her career, Ms. Finlinson spent 15 years in the fields of finance and accounting, drawing upon her formative interest in numbers. An immigrant from Latin America, Ms. Finlinson first attended to her collegiate studies in her home country, where she studied systems engineering, economics sciences and law. She emphasizes that her natural pull to the field of finance was a natural progression that combined her passion and her set of skills. As a testament to her success, Ms. Finlinson earned the Global Finance Leader Award from the Global Conference on Insurance and Finance in 2020. She attributes much of her success to her commitment to her work, as well as her affinity for multitasking, prioritizing assignments and completing challenges. Drawing upon a bachelor’s degree in business management from Odessa University College in Texas, Hampton Gardner currently excels with the Hampton Company National Surety, LLC as a general agent for three major insurance companies. Falling serendipitously into his profession while working in the financial sector, he was acquainted with a gentleman who provided Mr. Gardner with his first contract with Gramercy Insurance Company. From that point forward, Mr. Gardner delved into the field of insurance. Prior to his current role, hewas the general agent for the Allegheny Casualty Company, Bankers Insurance Company and Financial Casualty Company. Additionally, he is the chairman, founder and past president of the Mississippi Coalition of Limited Surety. Attributing his success to networking opportunities, Mr. Gardner is recognized as a community advocate who founded The Decatur Rebound to beautify downtown Decatur, Mississippi. He also founded Victoria Gardens in 2007, a neighborhood subdivision that currently has 18 homes with several open lots for new home construction. Looking forward, Mr. Gardner intends to continue his business until he can pass the torch down to his daughter. He would also like his business to have 30% growth.
