258 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine GOVERNMENT AND MILITARY Thomas J. Wynne was first elected to the Snohomish County Superior Court in 1993, where he served as a superior court judge until his retirement from the superior court in 2017. While serving in this role, he also excelled as a presiding judge from 2004 to 2007. Although retired from his profession, he continues to thrive as a pro tem judge for the Snohomish County Superior and District Courts. Earlier in his career, Mr. Wynne was a deputy prosecuting attorney in Snohomish County from 1972 to 1978, a district court judge from 1979 to 1992, and a presiding judge for the Snohomish County District Court from 1990 to 1991. He also served as vice chair of Washington State’s Judicial Information Systems Committee. To prepare for his highly respected career, Mr. Wynne pursued a formal education at the University of Washington, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1965 and a JD from their School of Law in 1968. Following the completion of his education, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a commander and battalion adjutant, as well as lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
