As a professor, he has always focused on inspiring his students to think critically rather than worry about their grades. Throughout his career, Dr. Stone has strived to inform and improve the world, leaving it better than how he found it. Outside of his primary vocation, he enjoys collecting model trains, supporting the arts, watching films and listening to music. While he expects to retire in the near future, Dr. Stone intends to continue working with and building his charitable foundation. the Toledo Researcher Award, the Distinguished Visitors Award by the State of Mexico, and the key to the city of Veracruz. Furthermore, Dr. Stone is also the founder and chairman of the Alice Elizabeth Stone Foundation, a charitable nonprofit organization that provides scholarships for Native American students attending college and grants for environmental and animal welfare companies.
