406 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT Yvonne “Eve” Braden founded Valley to Valley Senior Care Centers in 2006, a nonprofit organization, where she serves as chief executive officer and facility director. Maintaining responsibility for daily operations and its innovative programs, Ms. Braden is well regarded for her professional care for the center’s residents and her training of employees. The center offers full- and half-day programs to residents five days per week with opportunities to dine in unison with other residents, maintain independence in a controlled environment and foster bonds with others. Looking forward, Ms. Braden intends to expand the center to two facility locations to help more seniors and veterans. She has raised over $325,000 in donations to fund the project and is looking forward to donations to finish and accomplish her goal. Earlier, Ms. Braden was an educator in health care, consulting and quality assurance between 1982 and 2002, as well as self-employed in operating a livery for 15 years. Subsequently, she served as a newsletter writer for Valley Publishing, Inc., from 1999 to 2006. As a testament to her success, she earned the Outstanding Leaders in Dementia Care from the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association in 2017, among other accolades. Inspired by the example of her mother, she made it her mission to assist others and has since dedicated her career to giving back. For more than 20 years, Dr. Cottman has served as the founder of Cottman Charities & Enterprises Incorporated, a faith-based nonprofit organization catering to children of multiple age groups. Alongside her primary work, she is a United States ambassador to the United Nations and a member of the African Diaspora Union, the Presidential Prayer Team and the Foster Care Association. Notably, she has been the recipient of a Foster Care Award. Matriculating at Harvest Christian University, Dr. Cottman earned a bachelor’s degree in 2018 and a PhD in counseling in 2019. She also served the university as president of human resources and has additional experience as a nurse assistant. Dr. Cottman’s goal within the next five years is to acquire land to build a retreat for children in underserved communities. She is currently in the process of looking for support staff to help her achieve this goal.
