285 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Drawing upon over 45 years of excellence in the field of medicine, Dr. Raynard G. Fabianke first developed an interest in health care at a formative age. Attending Rice University in Houston, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology and pre-medicine in 1971, followed by an MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1975. He subsequently completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama Hospital School of Primary Care in 1978. Dr. Fabianke holds medical licenses in the states of Texas and Alabama and is board certified in family medicine, sports medicine and geriatric medicine. Since 1980, he has excelled as the medical director of the Medical Clinic of Red Bay in Red Bay, Alabama. Garnering much success over the course of his career, he attributes his achievements to having a diligent work ethic, dedication to learning, and innate compassion for his patients and other members of his community. Among the many highlights of his career, he is especially proud of serving as the team physician for the Senior Olympics in the State of Alabama, as well as participating in the delegation of contestants in the Senior Games who represent Alabama annually. Outside of his primary career path, Dr. Fabianke previously served as chairman of the Red Bay Educational Foundation from 1986 to 1996 and was on the board of directors of the Riverbend Center for Mental Health between 1987 and 1990. He presently sits on the board of directors of Red Bay Hospital. Likewise, he is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, the American Medical Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. In light of his achievements, Dr. Fabianke was named among Outstanding Men of America in 1979.
