289 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Having retired in 2010, Robert D. Harris cultivated a profound career as a registered nurse. For over four decades, he worked with numerous hospitals and organizations throughout the state of California, beginning with his time as an emergency medical technician from 1977 to 1980. He later operated as an emergency medical services flight nurse with Mercy Air U.S., and he subsequently worked at a charter hospital for 20 years. Prior to retiring, Mr. Harris served as an emergency department registered nurse with Tenet Healthcare Corporation (formerly National Medical Enterprises, Inc.) for seven years. Throughout his time in the field, Mr. Harris always faithfully advocated and cared for his patients, aiming to set a strong example for his colleagues and those under his care. In honor of his dedicated service, he received a wealth of recognition from the Department of Health Services in Los Angeles County, California. Furthermore, Mr. Harris was personally appointed by the mayor of Moreno Valley to work on the city’s Planning Commission for two years. As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Harris cultivated his own education, earning an Associate of Arts in nursing from Cerritos College in 1980. He also holds an Associate of Arts in natural science. In addition to his academic credentials, Mr. Harris is certified for advanced practice and as a mobile intensive care nurse (MICN), and he received his certification as a registered nurse in 1980. Mr. Harris has always enjoyed the company of others, and he attributes much of his success to his love for helping people. To wit, he has found it exceptionally rewarding to have contributed to the professional advancement of many paramedics and colleagues. Furthermore, he is especially proud to have participated in many emergency room cases and saving countless lives in the process.
