Continuing to progress in her field, she has been a school psychologist, counselor supervisor and public school consultant since 2001, as well as an adjunct professor at LeTourneau University since 2004. Upon reflection, Dr. Modisette attributes her professional success to God and the many mentors she has had throughout her life. Among her mentors, she credits her mother, Naomi Davis, who inspired her to go into counseling, and Martha Hunt, the director appointed to serve on Gregg County Co-op, along with other mentors such as Anne Davis, Jean Cox and Paul Stroud. However, her greatest success is seeing a child learn and grow. She feels blessed to work with graduate students as they prepare for careers as counselors.
