Drawing upon over 30 years of experience in the banking industry, he commenced his career as a loan team leader and vice president at Wells Fargo in 1998, where he remained until 2003. From 2003 to 2007, he subsequently served as president of business banking at the Bank of Texas. Concurrent to his present role, Mr. Scheef was chairman of the East Central University Foundation between 2013 and 2015. He also holds a BBA in marketing from East Central University and an MBA in banking, corporate, finance and securities law from the University of North Texas. To attest to his success, Mr. Scheef was named a Distinguished Alumni of East Central University. He also won the Customer Service Award and Best Place to Work Award.
