During his three years of service in the military, he underwent proficiency tests to determine his strengths and weaknesses for his future profession. The results of these tests consistently led Mr. Riley to gear himself towards the field of accounting. Therefore, following his military service, he enrolled in Bentley University and graduated with a BS in accounting in 1967. Over a decade later, he also earned an MS in taxation from the aforementioned institution. At the inception of his career, Mr. Riley first worked as a state income tax manager for Pneumo Dynamics between 1967 and 1970. Thereafter, he cultivated additional experience in the field as a certified public accountant for a trucking company prior to establishing his own business. Between 1982 and his retirement in 2020, Mr. Riley excelled as a certified public accountant for the eponymously named D. Dean Riley, CPA. To remain abreast of developments within his areas of expertise, Mr. Riley has maintained alignment with several organizations, such as the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Civically engaged as well, he has volunteered for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, as well as competed in running races at ABC Wide World of Sports in Florida. Impressively, he won fourth placement for a 10K run and a Bronze Medal for a 5K run during the National Senior Games. While his career has been filled with notable achievements, Mr. Riley is most proud to have been a contributing delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business, held in 1966. He attributes much of his success to his ability to treat both clients and colleagues with much respect and consideration. He also notes that although income tax is not the easiest subject to understand, he has always taken time to ensure that all his clients properly understand their tax preparation for the year.
