Jean Wright II earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and cultural studies from The Ohio State University and a doctorate in clinical and forensic psychology from Wright State University. Completing postdoctoral residencies at the Wright State University School of Professional Psychology and Cincinnati VA Medical Center, Dr. Wright has since accrued over 25 years of experience. Since 2021, he has excelled as the deputy commissioner of the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services in Philadelphia, where he has also served as director of the behavioral health and justice division, senior advisor to the commissioner and adjunct professor at Temple University’s department of psychology. Earlier, he served the Ohio Department of Corrections, Evaluation and Research Associates, Inc., andWilberforce University, among others, inwellness-related capacities. Always passionate about awareness and treatment of behavioral health, Dr. Wright has penned articles for journals and scholarly papers, as well as authored “Find Strength in Your Struggle: Discover the Miracle in You” in 2015.
