395 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine SOCIAL SERVICES AND NONPROFIT Meyer Stewart Grinberg is a financial executive and community advocate who has accrued nearly five decades of experience. Since 2004, he has served as a financial representative for the Luttner Financial Group, having previously been executive director of the Jewish Education Institute of Pittsburgh, executive director of Tree of Life Congregation, and vice president of BuyWise, Inc. He commenced his career in 1973 as a tax accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. He was also a JAG officer in the U.S. Coast Guard between 1968 and 1973. Mr. Grinberg has served as president of Community Day School, executive vice president of Congregation B’nai Israel, president of Jewish Assistance Fund, president of Pittsburgh Three Rivers Marathon and chairman of its Run for a Reason charity program. He was chairman of the Aging and Human Needs Commission, Partnership2Gether, Maccabai Youth Games of North America and the Community Relations Committee. He served on the board of directors of the Melanoma Action Coalition, National Israel Center for Arts and Technology, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jewish Community Center, Jewish National Fund, Jewish Cemetery and Burial Association, Yeshiva Schools of Pittsburgh and Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh. Mr. Grinberg received a BA from Franklin and Marshall College in 1965. He then earned a JD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and MBA from George Washington University in 1973. Mr. Grinberg received the Humanitarian Award from Western Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and Samuel Latterman Volunteer Award and Rogal-Ruslander Leadership Award from the Jewish Community Center, and was named an Outstanding Citizen of Pittsburgh by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He received the Jewish National Fund-Guardian of Israel Award, Zionist Organization of America Israel Service Award and Levinson Community Service Award. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the Jewish Assistance Fund and earned the Outstanding Leadership Award from Community Day School and Ostrow Lifetime Achievement Award from Jewish Federation of Greater Pittsburgh.
