Early in life, he was inspired by his father, who was a salesperson of bolts and nuts. Leveraging this experience, Mr. Churchill desired to establish his own company within the same profession, which led to his purchasing of his very first metal stamping punch press. Entering the field professionally with his punch press and a $10,000 loan, Mr. Churchill has since expanded his company and expects to generate $14 million in sales revenue in 2022. A&S Manufacturing Co. also operates in two different facilities in Philadelphia with over 80,000 square feet of space. Over the course of his longstanding career, Mr. Churchill completed coursework at the Goldey-Beacom School of International Business in Bloomington, Delaware, and obtained an ISO certification in 2000 and a Perry Johnson ISO certification in 2018. Describing himself as a self-taught professional, Mr. Churchill was instilled with a diligent work ethic from a formative age, which he continues to exhibit to the present day. He is well regarded in the industry for working extensive hours and providing unwavering attention to all details of his company. He also credits the support and hard work of his staff, who have been instrumental in the company’s success. Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Churchill is especially proud of obtaining EnerSys and C&D Technologies as clients – two of the largest battery manufacturers across the globe. Citing this as a crowning achievement, he has had working relationships with both manufacturers for many years and has since begun shipping his products to clients around the world, including to Mexico and Israel. Looking toward the future, Mr. Churchill intends to generate a 300% increase in sales in the year 2022 alone and anticipates opening a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing site in Lafayette, Indiana, in summer 2023.
