He also applied for and received Palace Chase through the USAF program, allowing him to receive early discharge so he could pursue his career as a goldsmith. Mr. Quinn has received several accolades, including 18 national design awards for jewelry. In 1993, he was bestowed with the Fantastic 50 Award from the former lieutenant governor in Richmond, Virginia. Notably, thousands of businesses – alongside his own – applied for the accolade, and Quinn’s Goldsmith was the only retail business that was honored with the award. Quinn’s Goldsmith was also named Best Business in the County and Business of the Year.
