Putting her artistic skills to use, Dr. Alexander began serving as the executive director of KultureKastle in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 1996 and later served as president of the Pinellas Opera League from 2010 to 2015. She has also been an artist-in-residence at the Beaux Arts Gallery and Museum, among other roles. As an educator, Dr. Alexander has taught as a professor of humanities at St. Petersburg College in Florida since 2005. Additionally, she has been a professor at Jacksonville University, an adjunct faculty member at Old Dominion University and an instructor at the Language Prague Language School in the Czech Republic. Similarly, she served as a translator and interpreter for Word for Word, Inc., in Virginia in 1990. Dr. Alexander feels honored that she has been afforded opportunities to positively influence the next generation, contribute to society and instill a love of learning in her students via education. Matriculating at Old Dominion University, Dr. Alexander earned a BA in 1990 and an MA in 1992. She went on to obtain an honorary PhD in religion from the Pacific Universal Life Church in 1996, as well as an accounting degree from the School of Accounting and Bookkeeping in Atlanta in 2000. In 2013, she attained a PhD from Barry University and became certified as a natural health consultant. Dr. Alexander also has a PhD in education and leadership from Barry University. Looking forward, Dr. Alexander hopes to publish her autobiography and go on tour, sharing stage productions and her original music, as she has released three albums since 2020. She believes in happiness and hopes that others will enjoy her music and continue to learn. She would also like to continue with her doctoral interest: indigenous civilians and their cultures. An educator and performance artist, Dr. Christina Anamaria Alexander commenced her career as a teacher until being offered a year-long apprenticeshipwith a dance company in New York.
