Furthermore, as a civicminded citizen, Mr. Lane participates as the chairman for the council of the Placerville United Methodist Church. Though Mr. Lane initially intended to pursue a career strictly in agriculture, several of his high school teachers inspired him to pivot towards education, and he is grateful for their guidance. Similar to how his teachers encouraged him, Mr. Lane is especially proud to have stimulated the hearts and minds of many of his own students. Furthermore, he attributes much of his success to his parents, who supported him in all of his endeavors. Having accomplished many of his professional goals already, Mr. Lane looks forward to watching his children and grandchildren achieve their own dreams in the near future. Possessing more than five decades of professional experience, Thomas G. Lane Sr. has cultivated a thriving career in the field of education. Since 1969, he has operated as a teacher of agriculture, beginning his career at Waymart High School in Pennsylvania. Most recently, Mr. Lane served on the McGuffey School Board, and he was a consultant for the Bureau of Career and Technical Education. Over the course of his career, he has also worked with Lower Dauphin High School and McGuffey High School. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Lane pursued his own formal education, attending Pennsylvania State University between 1965 and 1969 and earning a bachelor’s degree.
