287 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HEALTH AND WELLNESS Delving into the field of public health in light of her interest in the prevention of disease, Dr. Danielle R. Gilmore first attended the University of Central Oklahoma, from which she earned a BS in public health in 2016. From there, she earned an MPH from the Johns Hopkins University in 2018. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in public policy and administration at George Washington University, which she will earn in late 2022. Since 2016, Dr. Gilmore has been a certified health education specialist. At the inception of her professional career, Dr. Gilmore served the Oklahoma State Department of Health as an intern in the Office of Partner Engagement between 2015 and 2016, followed by a teaching assistantship at Johns Hopkins University from 2017 to 2018. While studying toward her degrees, she served as a research assistant at the Center for Regional Economic Competitiveness in 2019, as well as a research and evaluation associate for Mirror Group LLC from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Dr. Gilmore has excelled as a research assistant for the Center for Health Disparities Solutions at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University since 2016, as well as a graduate research assistant at the George Washington Institute of Public Policy since 2018. An emerging public health specialist, Dr. Gilmore has authored several publications in peer-reviewed academic journals, most recently including “The Role of Representative Bureaucracy: A Literature Review Examining the Academic Impact of Representation in Schools for African American and Latinx Students” in the International Journal of Innovation and Research in Educational Sciences in 2022. She was inducted into National Association of Leadership and Success in 2021. Dr. Gilmore has been honored with a myriad of accolades, such as the 2019 First Place Award for her research poster in diversity, equity and inclusion at GeorgeWashington University and the 2018 Selective Excellence Fellowship at the GeorgeWashington Institute of Public Policy. Earlier, she received the 2016 Bertha “Jackie”McCallumAward fromtheUniversityof CentralOklahoma, aswell as the 2016 Outstanding Undergraduate Major of the Year from Eta Sigma Gamma. DANIELLE R.
