The NAACP bestowed upon her the Community Partner Award for her contributes to her improving her community. As a testament to her success, Dr. Moragne most recently won the Women of Distinction Award in 2022, having previously received several Top Doctor Awards from 2019 to 2021. Likewise, she is a recipient of numerous accolades from the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, including the Silver Stevie Award, the American Business Award, the Minority-Owned Business of the Year award and the Frontline Medical Hero of the Year award. She was also honored with the Diamond Award from the African American Chamber of Commerce. Drawing upon a formative love and passion for the field of medicine, Dr. Mechelle Taylor Moragne has always desired to take care of the underrepresented population of patients, as they are often overlooked in terms of their medical needs. Supported by a PhD in neurophysiology and an MD, both fromMeharry Medical College, Dr. Moragne served as a family physician for 19 fruitful years. Following her departure from a variety of clinics, she decided to spearhead her own practice in Jackson, Tennessee. Since 2017, Dr. Moragne has excelled as a family physician and the owner of the Taylor Medical Center, PLLC.
