320 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Since 2018, Dr. Martha G. Garrett-Shaver has excelled as a physician on behalf of the South Arkansas Family Care Center in El Dorado, Arkansas. At the inception of her career in the 1960s, she served as a science teacher for the public school system, drawing upon a Bachelor of Arts in science from Hendricks College from 1966. As time progressed, Dr. Garrett-Shaver developed an interest in the medical sciences and went on to pursue a doctorate. In 2000, she received an MD from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which was followed by her completion of a residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Center. Prior to commencing her present position, Dr. Garrett-Shaver served as a residency director at the University of Arkansas Medical Center South in Magnolia, Arkansas, between 2003 and 2018. Over the course of her career, she has maintained active affiliation with the American Board of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians. In accounting for her success, she credits her diligent work ethic, as well as the support from her husband, John. Dr. Garrett-Shaver has two children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. PHYSICIAN South Arkansas Family Care Center El Dorado, AR Having accrued over 20 years of experience, Dr. Khilia Giacobone is a proven expert in the field of psychology and social service. Specializing in mental health care, she has served as the director of Attachment and Trauma Institute in Virginia, where she provides mental health services to individuals and families in overcoming childhood and generational trauma. Adjacent to her primary duties, she remains active as a volunteer with the Greater Richmond Stop Child Abuse Now (SCAN), the Greater Richmond Trauma-Informed Community Network, and various therapy dog organizations. As part of her vocational journey, Dr. Giacobone pursued a formal education. To this end, she earned a BS in psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MA in clinical psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, and a PhD in clinical psychology from Walden University. Attributing much of her success to the guidance and leadership of her mentors in the field of psychology, she is especially proud of her publications on alternative treatment modalities.
