326 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Dr. Majd Oteibi has excelled as chief executive officer and director of clinical research at Validus Institute, Inc., since 2021. Previously serving in leadership roles with Advanced Clinical Research Institute and California Institute of Renal Research, she has taught courses at National University at the School of Community Health in San Diego since 2020. She was appointed the class speaker for the commencement ceremony at Harvard Medical School-Global Clinical Scholars Research Training in 2019, was named a fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health and earned the 2021 Teaching Assistant Excellence Award from Drexel University. Holding an MD in general medicine and surgery from Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry and residency training in obstetrics-gynecology, Dr. Oteibi also holds a master’s degree in health law from UC San Diego and completed postgraduate clinical research training with a clinical trials concentration at Harvard Medical School. Among her many career highlights, her research involves improving the quality of life for underserved populations and the community, and she is particularly proud of her international volunteer work in orphanages, refugee camps and senior citizen homes. Escalating through the ranks, he became an assistant general manager in 2008 and, within the same year, was promoted to general manager – a position he held until 2014. Following this appointment, Mr. Sanders served as an area manager from 2014 to 2015 and a regional director from 2015 to 2019. Since 2019, he has excelled as senior director of club operations. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sanders was a personal trainer in the 1990s. He then joined Crunch Fitness in 2000, where he served as an assistant manager, retail manager, assistant general manager, general manager and sales manager until 2007. Drawing upon a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from Western Illinois University, Mr. Sanders was recognized with his team with such accolades as Corporate Club of the Year, Residential Club of the Year, Senior Sales Manager of the Year and Regional Sales Manager of the Year. Among the many highlights of his career, he is gratified to be one of the many African Americans in the field.
