In 1987, Dr. Lambert commenced his career in research as an author on three papers. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in human performance at the University of Toledo, he entered Ball State University as a member of the Human Performance Laboratory. There, he worked under the auspices of Dr. David Costill, who many consider the “Father of Sports Nutrition.” After receiving his master’s degree from Ball State, Dr. Lambert served the University of Aberdeen Medical School, publishing four papers. He then served theWashington University School of Medicine for one year, learning about type II diabetes. Dr. Lambert completed his PhD at the University of Toledo, studying exercise immunology. Thereafter, he spent eight years at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences; he considers this period themost productive time of his life, having made substantial contributions to literature. He earned two major National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants. Following this period, Dr. Lambert returned to the Washington University School of Medicine, where he completed an NIH grant, participated on the CALERIE grant and was laboratory supervisor. Subsequently, he took the remainder of the data to the University of Louisville, where he taught, conducted research and mentored students. Thereafter, Dr. Lambert returned home to Ohio, where he worked on the book “Physiology and Nutrition for Amateur Wrestling” and published two articles from his work conducted at the University of Louisville. In 2021, Dr. Lambert published six articles in the forms of a book chapter, letters to the editor, opinion and mini-reviews in relation to cancer treatment and type II diabetes. Collectively, he has published approximately 70 articles, book chapters and reviews in peer-edited journals and books. A researcher, educator and former competitive wrestler and expert in high-intensity exercise, weight loss, cachexia and muscle growth, Dr. Charles Paul Lambert excels as owner and chief executive officer of Lambert Relentless R&D, LLC. Previously, he was a referee for the USA Wrestling Officials Association and is the current North American Champion in Powerlifting for the 275 lb. weight class age 55-59.
