Most recently, Ragan’s HOPE was honored with the Great Nonprofit Top-Rated Award in 2022, having won the same accolade every consecutive year since 2012. Additionally, Ms. Stuart-Watson published a book in April 2022, titled “Finding Hope During Uncertain Times.” She has been a speaker on topics in relation to advocating for patients and health care, overcoming adversity, leadership and the power of faith. She won the 2020 Leadership First Award and the 2016 Spirit Award fromHealth Services of North Texas. Outside of her nonprofit work, Ms. Stuart-Watson has had a longstanding tenure in the sales and finance industries since 1989, having worked for WESCO International as sales director of global commercial real estate. In 2018, she was named Professional Leader of the Year by Women in Technology. Since 2010, Delena Stuart-Watson has served as the founder of Ragan’s HOPE (Helping Other Parents Endure and Embrace the Future), a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to support parents of children who have endured significant illness or injuries and ongoingmedical issues. With a mission to help parents find peace and create a positive, nurturing environment for their child, Ragan’s HOPE has thrived for over 12 years as a means by which parents can navigate the healing process in a healthy manner. To this end, Ragan’s HOPE offers crisis management, educational resources, financial resources, and emotional and spiritual support. Ms. Stuart-Watson established Ragan’s HOPE after experiencing several years of hardship with one of her daughters, Ragan, who was born with significant medical issues. Despite these battles, Ragan continues to survive, serving as an inspiration to Ms. Stuart-Watson who dedicated Ragan’s HOPE on her daughter’s behalf to help other parents traverse the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual obstacles that such situations bring.
