148 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine Dr. Suleyman Ozmucur leverages nearly five decades of experience as an educator in the field of economics. As a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania, he specializes in teaching students in the subject of statistics and the principles of economics, as well as conducts research on economic forecasting and now-casting. In addition to his primary vocation as an educator, Dr. Ozmucur maintains affiliation as a research fellow with the Economic Research Forum. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Dr. Ozmucur cultivated his own formal education, initiating his studies at Boğaziçi University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in 1973. He subsequently received a Master of Arts in economics fromManchester University in 1974 and a PhD from Istanbul University in 1976. As a testament to his success, Dr. Ozmucur has received numerous commendations for his dedicated work, including the Arthur H. Cole Prize in Economic History in 2002. In light of his fulfilling career, he considers his greatest achievement to be working with Dr. Lawrence Robert Klein at the University of Pennsylvania. Concurrent to this position, she has also served as the owner of Mary Louise Krenek Enterprises and Historical Research Company since 1981, as an independent contractor and political and social researcher since 1982, and a substitute teacher with the Houston Independent School District since 2002. She previously thrived as a substitute teacher with the Wharton Independent School District between 2011 and 2013 and a polygraph examiner between 1979 and 1981, as well as an instructor of government studies at Wharton County Junior College between 1997 and 1999. A certified secondary and elementary school teacher in the state of Texas, Ms. Krenek holds an AA from Wharton County Junior College, a BA from Texas Agricultural and Industrial University and an MA in political science from St. Mary’s University. She also received a certificate in Czech language from Charles University. While pursuing her academia and vocational paths, she served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves, where she escalated to the rank of lieutenant colonel until her military retirement in 2003.
