18 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ARCHITECTURE, CONSTRUCTION AND REAL ESTATE Initially earning a Bachelor of Science in nutrition and food science from the University of California Berkeley in 1985, Victoria Lynn Curtis served in the field of quality assurance at Safeway between 1986 and 1992. During this time, she understood that her skills were better applied in amore social setting, noting that working in amanufacturing facility limited her greatly. Recalling memories of her grandfather, who was a real estate broker, Ms. Curtis remembered how he taught her the complexities of the real estate industry and accompanied himwhile he met with clients. Deriving inspiration from this experience, she decided to shift her career path to real estate. At the inception of her career in real estate, Ms. Curtis served a number of real estate firms, including Marvin Garden Real Estate – El Cerrito, Atkinson Company and Wallace Anderson, before attaining her current role. Since 2017, she has excelled as a realtor with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate through Reliance Partners in California. Attributing much of her success to her ability to put her clients’ needs first, she also emphasizes the freedom and importance of being an independent professional. Among her many career achievements, Ms. Curtis is especially proud of being chosen for Realtor of the Year by the California Association of Realtors in 2007. Additionally, she enjoyed being a presenter before 700 other realters at a conference in 2008, during which time she discussed the economic collapse that occurred that year. As a testament to her success, Ms. Curtis received the Emerald Award in 2017. She is a past vice president of the Albany Chamber of Commerce in California and a member of Soroptimist International of El Cerrito, the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She also holds a green certification. Drawing upon over 35 years of experience in the real estate field, she intends to retire in the forthcoming years.
