Since 2008, Mr. Robinson has operated as a dental maxillofacial prosthetics/anaplastology practitioner for Maxillofacial Art in Suffolk, Virginia. From 2009 to 2016, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, became an additional location until Mr. Robinson transferred to Hampton, Virginia, to join Joint Base Langley/ Eustis 633rd Dental Squadron/633rd Medical Group. In the field, Mr. Robinson has partnered with over 13 specialists to designing and fabricating intra- and extra-oral appliances meant to restore facial deformities for patients with blunt trauma, congenital defects and/or cancer. Mr. Robinson served with the Army National Guard from 1986 to 1988. He changed branches and joined the United States Navy to pursue a formal education, receiving a bachelor’s degree in health care management from Southern Illinois University in 1999 and a master’s degree in health services administration from Central Michigan University. In addition tohis academic credentials, he is a board certified clinical anaplastologist and dental laboratory technologist. To commemorate his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Robinson has been recognized as the Dental Squadron Civilian of the Year and the Medical Group Civilian of the Year for 2019, 2020 and 2021, and was presented with the Joint Base Langley/Eustis 2021 Air Force Air Combat Command Civilian of the Year Award. He attributes much of his success to his drive to continue learning and his openminded perspective. In light of his many accomplishments, he is proud to have had the opportunity to give back to the community. In the near future, Mr. Robinson hopes to continue sharing his knowledge with others, and he looks forward to working further with the military. Having accrued nearly four decades of experience, Robert F. Robinson Jr. is an accomplished anaplastologist and dental maxillofacial prosthetist.
