While in her native India, she attended GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, graduating with a medical degree in 1971. After immigrating to the U.S. in 1972, she subsequently received an MD in general psychiatry and child psychiatry from Michigan State University. Completing a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Clinton Valley Center, she commenced her career in 1976. Over the course of her vocation, Dr. Nanda served as a psychiatrist for Green Chimney in Brewster, New York, from 1986 to 2016. Since 1989, she has excelled as an adult and child psychiatrist at the Hudson Valley Regional Health Clinic. Notably, Dr. Nanda is a life member of the American Psychiatric Association, member of the American Academy of Child Psychiatry and past member of the American Medical Association.
