333 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE Backed by nearly 40 years of professional expertise in the winemaking industry, Vincent Antoine Alfred Maurin relocated to the United States from France in 2021 and founded Chez Vincent Wine Bar with his daughter, Nastasia Maurin, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As founder and owner, he shares his passion for French wine with his patrons, as well as the art of food pairing from a selection of meat and cheese plates, salads and desserts. Providing a unique and sophisticated atmosphere, his wine bar also offers live music on the weekends and private wine tastings hosted by his knowledgeable staff members. Prior to his current endeavor, Mr. Maurin worked as a winemaker and mitigation manager for Château Margaux in France, an internationally renowned winegrowing estate that dates to the 16th century, for more than 20 years between 1999 and 2021. A professional wine taster, he was a consultant for a wine bar in Bordeaux, France, an experience that became instrumental in how he approaches the art of wine tasting today. He had also been an assistant to the department manager at Leclerc and a summer intern in customer service at Société Générale Group in the 1980s. Additionally, Mr. Maurin served as president of the Jury for Wine in Bordeaux. Aside from his winemaking interests, Mr. Maurin played soccer on the Girondin De Bordeaux team, a professional football club. He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Saint Joseph de Tivoli in Bordeaux in 1983, as well as a professional wine taster certification from the University of Bordeaux, where he studied under the tutelage of Denis Dubourdieu, the director of the Oenological Institute of Bordeaux and a worldwide consultant in the field. Looking forward, Mr. Maurin hopes to develop both in-house and nautical wine tasting for his customers to enjoy at Chez Vincent Wine Bar. Always looking to grow and expand his reach, he hopes to open another wine bar with his wife, Claire, who helped spearhead his initial dream in launching a wine bar after falling in love with Florida during their honeymoon.
