336 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine HOSPITALITY AND LEISURE Drawing upon over 45 years of experience in horse breeding, Cheryl Heiss Hymas currently excels as a Peruvian Paso horse breeder in Hailey, Idaho. Distinguished for her expertise in breeding, judging and training horses, Ms. Hymas previously served as an educator at Highland High School in Salt Lake City and at Southern Junior High School and Boise High School in Boise, Idaho, between 1960 and 1967. In addition to her involvement in the animal and education industries, Ms. Hymas also spent 11 years in the field of hospitality as the owner and manager of Smiley Creek Lodge between 1967 and 1974. Outside of her primary endeavors, se has written articles in various publications on Peruvian Paso horses and has judged shows across the nation. To prepare for her career, Ms. Hymas attended Boise State College and earned an AA in secondary education. She followed this achievement with a BS in social science and secondary education at Idaho State University. Although initially involved in the education sector in light of the societal expectation for women to enter the industry, she eventually delved into horse breeding, thus finding her passion for riding. PERUVIAN PASO HORSE BREEDER Hailey, ID Having accrued more than four decades of experience in the sports industry, Eiichi Jumawan is a two-time National Boxing Champion. In addition to his career as a professional boxer, since 1981, he has operated in the fields of sports administration and training. In 1997, he founded Pearlside Boxing, Inc., through which he offers boxing fitness classes for children, trains boxers to get on Team USA and conducts coaching education clinics, as well as clinical programs for those with Parkinson’s disease. Mr. Jumawan previously participated as a member of Team USA between 1977 and 1980, and he has maintained membership with USA Boxing since 1985. Mr. Jumawan’s athletic career is bolstered by his academic credentials, having earned a Bachelor of Science in sports administration and physical education from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa in 1981. Over the course of his vocational journey, he has attributed much of his success to his drive, leadership skills, and the love and support of his wife.
