360 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine LAW AND LAW ENFORCEMENT Upon earning a BS in business from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 1972, Bruce Carter Embrey delved into service work. However, he was not satisfied with the corporate sector. With an interest in the legal field, he went on to attain a JD from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University in 1976. For two years, he was the research director of the Indiana Judicial Study Commission and, in 1976, he began presiding as a judge over the Miami County, Superior and Circuit Courts in Peru, Indiana, until 2002. Notably, Mr. Embrey went on to serve as a prosecuting attorney and judge for Miami County for seven years before spearheading Embrey & Embrey Attorneys, where he has been a senior prosecuting attorney since 2019. Actively involved in his community, Mr. Embrey has served as president of the Circus City Festival, Indiana Juvenile Justice Task Force and Miami County United Way, as well as a board member of the Leadership Miami Program. Abundantly awarded throughout his career, he holds accolades from the Indiana Judges Association, Indiana Association of Resources and Child Advocacy, and The Probation Officers Professional Association of Indiana, among others. Grizzle has excelled as chief of police for the Decatur Police Department in Decatur, Arkansas. He started working with Decatur in 2018 as a patrol officer, having previously thrived as a patrol sergeant at the Barling Police Department and sergeant over detention at the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office between 2015 and 2018. Likewise, he was a firearms instructor with the Department of Energy from 2008 to 2014 and a patrol officer for the Van Buren Police Department from 1998 to 2008. He commenced his career in 1996, whereupon he joined the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and took coursework in advanced field sobriety, street survival and firearms, SWAT, rescue diver, and search and rescue. Drawing upon coursework from the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, Mr. Grizzle was named Officer of the Year by the Van Buren and Decatur Police Departments in 2004 and 2021, respectively. Civically involved as well, he was instrumental in the establishment of the Van Buren Neighborhood Watch in 2000 and has maintained affiliation with the Chief’s Association of the State of Arkansas and Fraternal Order of the Police.
