He notes that Mr. Lombardi’s mentorship guided him in his navigation of business operations and the wholesale industry, which Mr. Delfini has leveraged to continue his current success. To note, Mr. Delfini says that he feels privileged to have worked alongside the executive management team at AVA Companies, and he continually seeks to obtain new knowledge. In accounting for his success, he credits the support from his family, as well as their encouragement to pursue a diligent work ethic and perseverance. Joining AVACompanies, ameatmanufacturing, wholesale and distribution company, in 2011, Luigi Delfini II first served the company as an account analyst and category manager. In 2014, he was promoted to the position of director of operations, serving in that capacity for one year. Subsequently, he was appointed the vice president of AVA Companies in 2015, where he remains today. As vice president, Mr. Delfini maintains responsibility for all day-to-day company operations, which also includes managing the budget and administrating over 300 teammembers. Prior to his present appointment, Mr. Delfini served as a meat cutter and, thereafter, a meat manager for ShopRite between 2003 and 2011. During this time, he pursued a formal education at the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and actuarial science in 2008. Among the many highlights of his career, Mr. Delfini is especially proud of his tenure spent with ShopRite, where he first worked while attending to his studies and provided a foundation upon which he has attained success.
