Though initially pursuing a career in biology, while in college she took a part-time position with a new home construction company, where she learned and enjoyed working in the field. Subsequently, she changed her career course to interior design and real estate. Ms. Clark earned her license in real estate in the Spring of 2021. Ms. Clark then joined RE/MAX Realty Group, where she has had several mentors and much help with growing her skills to become a better realtor. By the end of the year, she made Rookie of the Year, following her certification in resort and second home specialist. Ms. Clark attributes much of her success to her four children: Alayna, Whitney, Dustin and Dylan. They have kept her motivated and focused. Likewise, her clientele, with each transaction, have taught her something new and helped her become more effective in her profession. Ms. Clark intends to continue her education in interior design and business management so in the future, she may open her own design and real estate company. BROKER, REALTOR RE/MAX Realty Group New Castle, IN Renowned for his expertise in the construction industry, Gene Gierek has excelled as an estimator and coordinator for Valley Construction Supply in Pacific, Washington, since 2013. Among his responsibilities, he helps provide the region’s contractors with a reliable source for building materials, such as concrete, framing, rebar, drainage and venting hardware. He also ensures products are accurately quoted in the estimation process. Mr. Gierek considers his most notable achievement was his involvement with Simpson Strong Tie Co., Inc., a company well known for its lateral restraint systems. He incorporated his expertise into the evolution of a system that began with multiple working parts and now assists clients who use the lateral restraint systems due to their rigorous design criteria. Notably, he sold the first system of its kind in the Seattle area. Backed by coursework toward a master’s degree in finance at Eastern Illinois University, Mr. Gierek attributes his success to his solid understanding of the business and ability to manage various situations. Looking ahead, he intends to pivot into a consultancy role and serve as a mentor to budding construction professionals.
