413 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine TECHNOLOGY A dedicated community advocate, Mr. Morrical has been active with Quest Forum Leadership in various capacities, including as a founding contributor beginning in 1997, secretary of the North America region in 2007, vice chair of the Americas region in 2008 and member of global business excellence in 2011, as well as a member of their leadership council. In 1998, Mr. Morrical co-authored “TL9000 Requirements and Measurements” for Quest Forum. He fondly recalls that much of his time with Quest Forum involved making new friends, traveling to conferences and meetings, and experiencing global cultures. To add to his civic work, Mr. Morrical was the founder and chair of the Great Lakes TL9000 Special Interest Group from 2003 to 2009. In retirement, he has served as the vice chair of the Telecom Business Excellence Quest Forum since 2010 and the vice president of Sugar Grove Public Library since 2011, of which he was also a president of the board of trustees from 1999 to 2011, vice president from 1997 to 1999 and trustee from 1996 to 2012. Mr. Morrical’s work with the library provided him with access to multiple worldwide databases, which later helped him with his genealogy studies. He could find DNA lines spanning from 4,000 BC to 1,425 BC, which he notes is quite rare for others in the field. To remain abreast of advancements in his field of work and volunteerism, Mr. Morrical maintains professional affiliation with the Illinois Library Association, the American Library Association, the Project Management Institute and the American Society of Quality. Looking toward the future, he plans to establish a cat rescue shelter and grow an elk herd on his ranch in Tennessee. He also intends to continue living by his mantra, “Knowledge is the key to the world.”
