143 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine EDUCATION FOUNDING MEMBER, SENIOR CONSULTANT The Montessori Foundation Saint Paul, MN MATHEMATICS TEACHER Fort Bend Independent School District Rosharon, TX MICHAEL JAMES DORER, EDD Dr. Michael James Dorer currently excels as a founding member and senior consultant for The Montessori Foundation, a nonprofit educational organization that aims to support the development of Montessori schools on a global scale. Working with educational leaders and teachers, among other prominent individuals, The Montessori Foundation also serves as a resource for knowledge, guidance and assistance for parents interested in providing their children with a Montessori education. Dr. Dorer studied Montessori training at the Minnesota Institute for Teacher Education, Twin Cities’ Montessori Center and Xavier University before receiving a graduate certification in Montessori training at the International Centre for Montessori Studies Foundation in Bergamo, Italy. Equipped with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and early childhood education from the College of Saint Teresa and a master’s degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, Dr. Dorer earned an EdD from Argosy University in 2008. He is especially proud of writing “The Deep Well of Time” in 2016, a book that redefined the role of storytelling for The Montessori Foundation. He received the 2014 Wisdom of the Elders Award from the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education. Having accumulated over a decade of experience in education, Ryan R. Estrada is an aspiring leader in the academic sector. Since 2020, he has worked with the Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas as a middle school mathematics teacher. He also recently began operating as an AVID teacher in 2022 with the Houston Independent School District, having originally joined the district in 2014. Mr. Estrada has worked with several other notable schools and school districts since 2009, specializing in mathematics and algebra I. Prior to beginning his vocational journey, Mr. Estrada pursued his own formal education. As of 2020, he holds five degrees, including a BS in mathematics from the University of Central Florida, an MEd from Lamar University, and an MEd from the American College of Education. In 2015, Mr. Estrada was celebrated as the New Teacher of the Year by the Houston Independent School District. He attributes much of his success to the love and support of his family, friends and colleagues. In the near future, Mr. Estrada hopes to become a counselor and mentor preservice teachers. RYAN R.
