160 Millennium - A Marquis Who’s Who Magazine ENERGY, ENGINEERING AND MANUFACTURING Inspired by his heritage as a 30th generation descendent of the Sung Dynasty of China, Kung-Yuen Chiu decided to delve into the field of engineering. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of California Berkeley, he developed his own company, CDH Design-Architects and Engineers. Located in San Francisco, California, Mr. Chiu is recognized as the chief engineer and president of the company. Earlier in his career, he served the San Francisco Police Department as a law enforcement official, as well as a notary public in the State of California. Mr. Chiu attributes much of his success to his desire to improve his local community and the lives of those around him. To this end, he has dedicated his life to serving his local area through CDH DesignArchitects and Engineers. For his incredible success and servitude to his community, he received recognition from the Montecito Law Department for his contributions to a company tax case, in which he aided the firm in establishing a basis for a new tax law in California. As a result, the City of San Francisco won $8 million for the case, and the City of Los Angeles won $104 million. Maintaining membership with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Notary Association and the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Mr. Chiu previously served in the United States Army during his career tenure. In his spare time, he enjoys ice skating, dancing and playing ping pong. Looking toward the future, Mr. Chiu intends to continue serving as a professional engineer for CDH Design-Architects and Engineers, in which he will expound upon their existing projects and improve the quality of life around him. Likewise, he also would like to promote the betterment of society for others in his community. He currently resides in San Francisco.
